Microneedles family shot

This scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image depicts four microneedles that have been 3D printed. The microneedles are around 600 microns in height, and they are composed of a blend of photopolymers and paracetamol. These microneedles were developed for drug delivery over mucous membranes, such as the cheek.
