Tsitsikamma Forest

As part of research into the collaboration of nature and mankind, this photograph is of Tsitsikamma Forest in South Africa. The natural forest was burnt in a forest fire, then replanted into a perfect grid, subsequently scorched in another forest fire, and now finally has begun to bloom again. The juxtaposition of the controlled input of mankind against the natural reaction of the landscape results in a surreal environment, which could only have been achieved with the input of both as contributors.
