Nicolette Jones, Royal Literary Fund Fellow, offers tutorials of up to one hour in good, clear academic writing.
Nicolette will be happy to see you about any matter connected with writing essays, dissertations and PhDs. Issues may include essay titles, how best to structure an argument, and concise writing.
HOW
Mainly through one-to-one tutorials lasting from half an hour to an hour.
WHEN
Thursdays and Fridays between 11am and 5pm during term time.
Please let her have any written work no later than 10am on the day of the tutorial.

Nicolette Jones is a writer, critic, journalist and broadcaster who has worked for all the national broadsheets and the book trade press. Her book about the Victorian philanthropist Samuel Plimsoll, The Plimsoll Sensation, won prizes in the UK and US. She collaborated on an overview of the work of the author and illustrator Raymond Briggs, Blooming Books, and has co-edited an award-winning guide to English usage. Specialising in literary and arts journalism, she is the children's books editor of The Sunday Times and directs the children's programme at the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival.
She was a scholar at St. Hilda's College, Oxford and a Henry Fellow in the Graduate School of English at Yale, where she was a teaching assistant on the celebrated 'Daily Themes' writing course.
