X-ray Diffraction CT of Excised Breast Tissue Sections: First Results from Elettra

This poster shows results of a new imaging technique that uses diffracted x-rays to analyse breast tissue. It is hoped that diffraction imaging could eventually be combined with current x-ray mammography screening techniques to improve the diagnosis of breast cancer.
