Renaissance of the Egg

The egg, a universal metaphor for new birth, new potential. Its outward geometric simplicity and beauty conceals what is still the greatest of DNA’s achievements, namely, building a new life. It is also a conjuror of the imagination, stimulating the mind to question what lies within. Advances in genetic manipulation will eventually make the question of ‘What came first?’ redundant, for out of all kinds of newly engineered eggs our future may arise. Let us tread carefully.
